Many established neighborhoods throughout the Las Vegas Valley—from vintage downtown areas to mid-century communities near Paradise and Commercial Center—feature houses built between the 1960s and 1980s. These properties were originally engineered for electrical loads of 100 to 125 amps.
Decades ago, that capacity easily covered a refrigerator, modest lighting, and a single air conditioner. Today, modern homeowners require dedicated capacity for multi-ton dual-stage HVAC compressors, EV chargers, induction cooking tops, and complex home theater setups.
During the Sin City Rehab project, our Master Electricians confronted three recurring electrical challenges:

1. Main Service Panel Upgrades (200A & 400A)
To support whole-home redesigns, we completed full main electrical panel upgrades across the properties. On one property, the filming schedule required a complete service changeout—disconnecting the utility line, demoing an ungrounded 100A meter-main combo, setting a new 200A square-D panel, driving dual copper ground rods, and securing City rough-in sign-off—all completed within a tight 18-hour overnight turnaround.
2. Whole-House Rewiring & Dedicated Appliance Runs
Modern open-concept floor plans require rearranging load paths. We executed full whole-house rewiring on three of the older properties, installing dedicated 240V, 50-amp lines for induction ranges, double ovens, and heavy laundry equipment while isolating noise-sensitive smart home automation lines.
